The festive season and the sparkle of winter are intertwined. However, it might be damaging to your hair. Most of you will experience hair and scalp issues during the winter since the dry air outside dries out your scalp and causes dandruff, making your scalp itchy and stinky. Therefore, you need to give your hair more attention throughout the winter.

A proper winter hair care routine must be followed to avoid hair fall. Using dermatologist recommended shampoo, which strengthens, healthy, and smothers your hair, is one of the most acceptable ways to preserve your hair during the winter.

Additionally, it aids in lowering hair loss and hair damage. Nevertheless, the winter hair care routine will vary based on where you live. Continue reading this article if you live in India and wish to learn about winter hair care routines.

    Choose the right shampoo

Shampooing your hair is the best way to clear up dandruff and clean your scalp. Don’t just wash your hair with any shampoo. To properly cleanse your scalp, you should use a dermatologist recommended shampoo that a specialist recommends.

If you experience significant hair loss, use a hair fall control shampoo. You can use mild shampoo for hair fall if your hair loss isn’t too severe. Use the appropriate shampoo for your hair type to get a visible, flake-free, nourished scalp and softer, smoother tresses.

The correct technique for using shampoo is to massage it into a damp scalp, wait one minute,
and then smooth it down the hair. After that, use warm water to rinse your hair and scalp.

    Use conditioner

Conditioner is a must every time you use shampoo to wash your hair. Because conditioner adds much-needed hydration to your hair while shampoo removes all the grime from your scalp, it improves your hair’s elasticity, strength, and gloss.

Because conditioner clogs pores and makes hair oily, you should avoid applying it close to the roots and scalp. Apply conditioner to your split ends to help them heal. Choose a creamy conditioner when buying conditioner.

Applying conditioner from the mid-lengths to the ends of your hair, leaving it on for a few minutes, and then washing your hair with regular water is the proper technique to condition your hair.

    Avoid hot water

Washing your hair in hot water is generally not recommended since it will absorb all moisture, leaving your hair lifeless and prone to breakage. So, to prevent a flaky scalp, wash your hair in warm water. And it would be best if you prevented frequent washings.

    Avoid dryers

In the winter, avoid using hair dryers because they will dry up your hair’s moisture and breakage. To protect your hair, it is wise to stay away from all heat-styling appliances. Instead, you can naturally dry your hair by encircling your head in a towel and combing the tangles.

    Oil your hair properly

Always use oil after washing your hair to protect it from the cold winds. You can use any oil of your choosing. Most dermatologists advise using oil solely on the length of your hair because doing so will keep your hair silky and moisturized without making your scalp feel sticky.

    Conclusion

This one is the greatest Indian hair care routine to use during the winter. Use the dermatologist recommended shampoo for hair loss if you experience significant hair loss. To avoid hair damage, it is also wise to maintain your hair and scalp hydrated and to refrain from over-styling. A hair mask can also be a part of your weekly hair care routine.
